City Impact Handbook

This City Impact Handbook is designed to be the operational manual for all aspects of City Impact, from Vision and Mision to process. City Impact is not a program. It is the heartbeat of Perimeter, to empower members to live out God's calling in their lives, for Kingdom flourishing.

Organizational Context:​

Given the guidelines of the playbook and the purpose of City Impact is Kingdom Flourishing, the City Impact Department developed the following mission statement, operational vision, and long-term dream to support this vision and mission of Perimeter Church.

Mission Statement:​

The mission of the City Impact Department is to help align and support our convener lay leaders and department staff heads in their joint ownership of extending ministries into our cities through our membership to accomplish the vision and mission of Perimeter Church -- Kingdom Flourishing through Spiritual Multiplication.

Operational Vision:​

Through prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit to have all officers, departments, and city lay ministries working together seamlessly to support all our members to bring people to Christ via a life-transforming encounter with the Kingdom of God through relationships, ministries, God-given gifts, and calling.

Long Term Dream:​

All members of Perimeter Church are utilizing their God-given gifts and passions to bring his Kingdom to earth as the salt and the light. Every member and engaged non-member can give God the glory in bringing at least one person to Christ. Flocks are responding to the call where God has gifted them as part of Kingdom Flourishing in our homes, neighborhoods, communities, and cities.

There are Four Phases in the Long-Term City Impact Journey:​

City Readiness (2021-2022):​

Kingdom Mobilization (2022-2023):​

The Calling of God’s People Into The Harvest Field; Heart Transformation Begins; Organic Efforts Begin; Ministries Established and Growing. Clarity Concerning the Gathered and Scattered Church Made.

Transition To Kingdom Impact (2023-2024):​

Heart Transformation Acceleration; Callings Increase; God Stories Flourish; Kingdom Impact Evident; Making Disciples Accelerates; City Impact Teams/Departments Collaborate Seamlessly On God Opportunities

Growth In Kingdom Impact (2024 and beyond):​

Fulfilling Jeff’s 5 Year Vision of City Impact in terms of our people, organization, influence, and generosity as the church gathered and scattered. All Members Are Faithful Kingdom Citizens; Gifts Bear Fruit Where God Has Placed Us; Spiritual Multiplication in Homes, Neighborhoods, Communities, and Cities is evident and growing The impact of the Holy Spirit has allowed for individuals, families, and communities, and cities to begin seeing the Kingdom of God flourish where God has called our Perimeter members to be the salt and the light.
